24 got a piece of, land, saved and put down 25% .we sacrificed and lived very frugal

I have two answers.

I first owned a home when I was 9. My father died at 35, and he had purchased the house we lived in before he and my mom married. They did not have a will, so the house and land were passed on to my little sister and me.

I purchased my first house at about 34 years old.

25, bought a 1700 sq ft starter home. At 32 built by current home, 2400 sq ft. My son was 25 also when he bought his first, a new starter home.

You read wrong. The report said the average age of a homebuyer is 56. It said nothing of the sort about first-time homebuyers.
