Packing for the beach last night I realized that nearly all of my clothes are 10-15 years old. Mostly it's perlis polos and stuff like that. It all still fits, and there's no holes, so why buy new stuff?

My sunglasses are also over 10 years old. I can't believe they have made it this long without being lost or broken.

Most of my clothes are at least 3-4 years old. Hell thats just getting started for a pair of jeans. I’m terrible with sunglasses though. If a pair makes it a year without me breaking them, it’s a miracle

I hate shopping, so pretty old. Plus, I am small, so I got a lot of hand-me-ups. I still have a long-sleeved shirt that was a gift when I was 11 (I am 40).

Any of them worn to the point of being see-through?

Asking for a friend. TIA

I have underwear from the early 1980's, maybe even the late 70's.

Think about that. My underwear may be older than some posters grandparents!

Anywhere from 25 years(college) to 5 years. There are old clothes has some small holes in them. I still wear them for cutting the grass or Sundays when it nice and cool. My wife tells me to throw them away. I tell her these clothes were in my life before she ever was.

I have to tell my wife to quit buying me clothes. Still have a shirt I got from MIL first Christmas after getting married (1982). Jeans last me 10-15 years, shirts even longer. I have my favorite shirts I wear all the time. Drives my wife crazy.

I have a Duck Head shirt that I bought for $36 with my own money when I was a Sophomore in HS at the Bells on Prospect in Houma. That was in 1993 and I still wear it about once a year.

For Ida I broke out the Jorts.. Even with the hammer loop.. I have T-shirts that I wear cutting grass and just around the house that at least 15 years old and have holes in them. One of them the armpit is ripped out and looks like one of those side show wife beater.

ETA: I still have a pair of sunglasses that I purchased right after Katrina.

Same. There a things that fit me well that’s I’ve kept for a decade and there are things I bought last week.

There’s a local boutique walking distance to my house and the stuff the owner selects for the store is very my style. Plus I love giving a local store my business. So I go in anytime she posts something on social media that I like.
