How often do you clean your grill?

Grilling some hamburger steaks right now and thought about the fact that I rarely clean my grill. I usually just burn off what's on there before putting meat on it. Just curious how often you guys clean yours.

Every time right after I use it while the steaks set up. I’m not going to be here forever to walk you through these basic things son

I don't understand. You're grilling hamburgers? Or steaks? Or both?

Usually only once then I throw it away and go buy another one. I have a Weber now and thought I would take better care of it but I haven’t cleaned it in two years.

Before and after I cook - every time. I also oil the grates after it is preheated before putting food on. Keeps it scrupulously clean, twice a year I do a big clean - easy off on the grates and flame tamers, make sure the burner surfaces are clean, etc.

About three fifty approximately as a general estimate ballpark guess.

I usually burn all of the liquids off right after I cook on it. Also heat it up good before cooking to get anything that has sprouted up since the last use.

I brush the top grate when I throw it back on over my hot coals. That's all of the attention it gets.

is that just for ballpark franks? serious question

Never. I'll brush and oil before cooking while it is heating up.

I usually let the food debris burn off and then clean each time. Every once in a while I'll pressure wash the grill grate to really get it back to bare metal...works great....

What is this "clean your grill" stuff?
I have a gas grill.
When I'm done grilling, I leave the heat on with the top closed for another 10-15 min
Then open it up, scrape the grill with my brush.
The end.
Next time I use it, after the grill is done heating up, I scrape it again if necessary before I start.
There is a little trap at the bottom, when it's full, I empty it.
The secrets of grill nights past influence the tastes of grill nights future.

I don't know what ya'll call it in Louisiana but here in West Alabama when you cook a big ground beef patty that's too big for a bun its a hamburger steak.
