How often are you standing up vs sitting down?

Someone brought to my attention over the weekend that I am often standing up even when I could be sitting. My brother in law is always telling me how active I am and that it’s ridiculous, I’ve always just thought he was lazy.

I never thought about it but now I am and they’re right, I stand a lot even when I could sit. I don’t know why, probably ADD.

So what are you doing most, sitting or standing?

dayjob has me sitting essentially 8 hours a day. I have a standing desk though and use it pretty often. Even at lunch, I'll often stand at our island and eat a sandwich or something

Standing. People have told me repeatedly it makes them uncomfortable, but I’m also hyper alert. I will stand if given the chance, 90% of the time if not by myself in my house. Because I’m posting this from my “leather everywhere you touch” Lay-z-boy.

I have a standing desk and made a commitment to use it as intended. It’s been three years without a desk chair in my office.

It’s only awkward when people drop by to chat, as we’re both standing. It keeps conversations more brief.

It took a few months to adjust, I won’t go back to sitting.

Hasn’t sat down in 4 months since she started walking.

When you get fat, sitting down to pee is very convenient. I saw that on one of those shows with the 600lb people. They just don't stand for anything.

Never stand when you can sit

Never sit when you can lie down

Never lay down when you sleep

Never wake up if you can sleep in

This is me. lol. People in my office think I’m weird. I’ve been doing it for about 5 years now.

I have pinched nerves in the cervical and lower back. In lieu of surgery I just stand up 90% of my time awake. Its been a game changer.

I'm standing/walking 60+ hours a week at work alone. We don't even have a single chair.

When I'm home I'm usually sitting. I'm the type of guy that will try to throw a shoe at the light switch to turn it off if I'm already in bed and when that inevitably doesn't work I'll go to sleep with the lights on.

You have to stand for something or you’ll fall for anything.

I don’t time it so I have no idea. I do like to stand when banging your mom though.

Congrats Old Man!

That was the best/hardest time of my life.

I chuckled to myself thinking of the lil’ Scruffette (after learning to speak from you) goes to Kindergarten speaking only in third person.
