Maybe 4-5x a year.
It’s expensive as frick. I can meal prep for 2 weeks with the price of one meal eating out. It’s beyond ridiculous. Plus with 3 kids, it’s not much fun at a restaurant. We only go when there’s a sitter involved

Only on special occasions which happen about once every three months. My wife is in a social club, they usually get together once a month. We usually get our stuff to go, like Popeyes, Mexican, Pizza and some Chinese.

If you are cooking as well as a decent restaurant, you are spending a lot of time shopping, cooking, and doing dishes.
I go to Costco twice a month and we fill in the rest with just stopping off at grocery store on way home. The overall time and effort is less than the time and hassle of going to a restaurant. Granted we live pretty far out in the sticks and the country cooking places near us mostly suck. We do the local Mexican place once every two months.
I can make a healthy breakfast super fast and cheap. And once we slow down with travel we’re restocking the chicken coop and replanting the garden.
In season I can cut some asparagus and throw a steak on the grill and cleanup is nothing (we use paper plates w kids).

Every Friday with friends. It's not about the food so much.

I go to Chipotle pretty often, but if I can’t easily count calories and macros then I’m swearing off it for now.

Rarely. It needs to be something I don’t want to make. I also find if I just make do with what I’ve planned or find, I’m full and didn’t need to go out. It’s not really worth it most times.

My wife is an excellent cook and she enjoys doing it, so i usually only eat at restaurants when traveling to the "city" or the steakhouse at the casino when we're out there.

With the family, hardly ever. The dining experience is a bit of a bother.

Do you just eat rice?

Eating out way more these days. It’s cheaper. Actually. Way cheaper than the grocery store. Have you seen the prices at the supermarket lately?

Probably 5 days a week due to kids sports/events. We are never home it feels like.

Usually at least once a week, mostly on Saturday mornings when we first wake up.

I buy and cut all of our beef. My wife, filet, me rib-eyes. Each around 10-12 each, still cheaper than a 40-dollar meal at a restaurant.
