I drive all over Houston for work and drive to LA regularly. I'm on pace for 22k this year. Qhard to believe that many people average 20k miles. I'd say 12-15 is much more reasonable for an average.

They also take money away from working people. I dont trust them.
Should they take money from people that dont work?

I have put around 20K on my car this past year. That includes driving back and forth to work M-F (35 miles round trip), trips to Houston and Orlando, miscellandous trips to LaPlace, Mandeville, Slidell and New Orleans plus driving around Baton Rouge on the weekends.

I put just under 15k on my car I bought a year ago on July 3rd. But we took a few long road trips with it that I wasn't planning on. I'm usually closer to 12k average now that I don't have an 80 mile commute for work.

In Atlanta the average will be higher than Lafayette because day to day commutes are further.
What's a typical commute in Atlanta? I know plenty people who drive 25+ miles to Lafayette for work.

I average from 25K to 30K per year. I drive a lot though.

I put 26k/yr on work vehicle and about 10k/yr on my truck.

That not the norm likevit is in Atlanta though
BFE youngsville to downtown probably isn't 15 miles
ETA: I probably put 15k a year but 5k of that is long trips

I would say 12k 1,000 per month
I have only put 3,000 on my truck since January when I was given my work truck full time. I have put 27K on my work truck in that same time frame.

My wife drives about 25 miles each way in stop and go traffic, it takes over an hour each way. But its not just the work commute its everything else as well, going in town on weekends, going out to restaurants, concerts etc. If you are getting out and doing things you will drive further to do it in a big city (like Dallas) than a small one (like Pineville).

50k/year on average for the last 30 years
Posted on 7/6/17 at 9:26 am to Throwing Stones
That is probably less than average. I think about 30,000 - 35,000 is the norm.

I just moved really close to work. Right now I am averaging 230 a month. I am hoping to only put less than 5,000 on it this year. Before I would put roughly 28K miles a year.

About 7,000/yr if that is what I do.
