In a toy store there is a ball and a bat.
together the two items cost 1.10
If the bat costs a dollar more than the ball, how much does the ball cost?

The going rate for a ball used to be about $150 but it's been quite a while so that may have changed.

I feel like this a trick question. If this were a kids homework, the answer would be .10 BUT if you're asking us, then yea you gotta think tax.

Ball is .05 + 1.00 means the bat is $1.05
.05 +1.05= $1.10
