Yeah.. if regular people had access to MLS listings I think they’d be gone. Unfortunately we just have unreliable shite like Zillow. And no way to contact sellers directly in most cases.

Dear Realtor, the housing market is far too hot to be posting on TD.

I know. It's so hot that I'm posting from my houseboat, just by tapping keys. (There. Just made another $22,000. meh.)

They get the same amount as a waitress working at Red Lobster on Valentine's Day... zero.

They do provide a service, but they also make pretty good bit of money for that service. I’ve never tipped anything. However, as the others say, if you want to give something, you could give a gift card to a decent restaurant.

Be aware, that she probably got gifts from all of the vendors she set you up with as well as the furniture rental place. Not saying that there is anything wrong with that….it’s just the way the world works.

I have yet to interact with a realtor who wasn’t a completely incompetent sack of shite.

Ours did too. Not the wine, but a gift card to a nice restaurant. Also, my first response was a quote fron Dwight on The Office. I don't actually tip my urologist.

Great point. I think all in sales who make commission should also have a tip jar. I guess I should have tipped my car salesman...

I don’t tip them shite. Unless you’re in business and using the same realtor multiple times a year…why would you tip them?

Tip the movers, not the realtor. Those guys earn their pay and keep your stuff from getting broken.

I'd go with a set percentage of the sale. Usually 3%, sometimes less if they represent both sides.

Realtors don’t expect tips. They do appreciate referrals and good reviews after giving top notch service.

By the way, my wife (no pics) does something nice for her client. A gift or pays for a service like pest control, a pool cleaning, yard cleanup, mow, remove weeds, etc.

My realtor took me to dinner after we closed. You're doing this backwards.
