$12.96/month for 6 32 gallon garbage cans or larger cans that don't exceed 192 gallons.
We have no yard waste or other debris removal, though. We can take it to a collection site for free, however.

It’s been terrible in Central lately
They are late picking up garbage & randomly skip recycling
Do we have a choice with who picks up our garbage in EBR?
No. The parish awards contracts to the lowest bidder every so often.
I'm trying to ascertain how EBR/Central prices compare to the "free market" prices in other parishes. My in-laws pay double what we pay so it stands to reason that our service would be less.
My hunch is that they need to raise their prices but then that opens up a whole set of legal problems. The bidders that lost would probably contest it.

I don't know who pays for that in EBR but those frickers will pick up ANYTHING I put out by the road. It may take a few weeks but they will pick it up.

I'm in North, AL, by the way. They will go a while with bending their rules by picking up stuff on their "no pickup" list, but will stop out of the blue. You can always tell when they stop because there will be random shite sitting on the side of the road in front of houses.
ETA: They never miss pickups. Even during the winter with snow they will double up on routes the first day the roads are clear. They modify their schedule for holidays, but still don't miss a week of pickup. They just shift the schedule. They've picked mine up after 7am once in the past few years. Gotta get it out the night before because it is hard to beat them to the road in the mornings.

Do you live in a town or city? If we put something to the road outside of regular trash that doesn’t get picked up, we just call the town and schedule a pickup.

$23 monthly in mid city br. 1 trash twice a week 1 recycle once a week. Trash spotty on occasions but mostly regular.

$2.70 a week for a standard size wheeled trash can, and a recycling can similar size.

I live in the county in an unincorporated town. We can get most of what we want picked up, but like I said in my previous post, sometimes they start enforcing their own rules and will go by the book for a while, usually when people start getting out of hand with shite. They never do pick up yard debris, though.

$99 quarterly for two cans.

I paid in full for the year trash and sewer. $176. $15 a month or so
Only issue is they pass once weekly and they do not get out of the truck. So if something is laying next to your trash can, it gets left. When we have boxes, I literally have to wait for a day I’m off on trash pick up, and run out when I hear the truck passing to throw them in

That is included in your $23/MO user fee for EBR parish.
2x week garbage; 1x week recycle; 1x week small debris piles; 1x week bulk pick up; you can also throw away appliances and tires and those will be gone too.
I'm not saying the service is always there, but the point is you pay $23 each month for the above services. For the next contract, expect the monthly rate to go up or some of the services cut out. Which leads to another set of problems in its own.

WNC
$20/ week
They will haul an unlimited amount of trash of any kind
They’ve never missed a Monday pickup in the almost decade I’ve used them. Rain or snow.

0 We have one huge garbage can that a truck comes around and picks up and dumps into itself.

I wish we had that option because our sewer is always higher than our water by a lot, they break it down here and it doesn’t make sense.

How does one determine the cost of trash pickup? Honest to god I thought it was free. Well, “free” meaning paid for by taxes.
Some places, you have to contract for your own trash pickup. Some places, it's an added cost to a water bill. Some places, the government bills you each month separately for it.
Down here in St. Bernard, we pay a property tax millage for sanitation, and that covers the trash collection.
They pick up 2x a week. The first day of the week, they only empty the can that is provided by the company. The second day, they will pick up extra bags.
We don't have curbside recycling.

$17.50 a month within the city limits of Columbia MO. Cans? The city doesn’t provide them. You have to put your trash in city-branded bags on the curb. They send vouchers twice a year that allow for 2 bags per week; all of the grocery stores stock them. If you run out before you receive your next vouchers, they’re $2 apiece. They won’t pick it up if the garbage is not in the proper bags, so now you see household trash dumped wherever.
