Disagree. We saw a ton of folks out and about in town. Ms. ITK and I had a great meal uptown, went and parked by the Dome, grabbed drinks close to the stadium, then went in and enjoyed the action and music. 40k tickets sold doesn’t seem right as there were at least that many there Saturday night.

Homeowners don’t like getting raped on property tax though..

Being on the same weekend as Hogs for the Cause probably didn't help attendance.
Agree but more bc of the weather than Hogs (I think part of the big draw for Hogs is the great outdoor weather of early April in Nola). I think you should save this type of event for May, June, July, August when the heat is high and people will be looking to spend a day inside the Superdome’s AC.
Scheduling indoor events in Nola in March and April isn’t the best strategy.

It was pretty empty for Creed last night. It was a good show though. Rodeo was well put together, wished it was longer. Had a ton of LA participants.

What’s the answer? If LA paid, it’s public record.

Cody Johnson is real country music, Old Dominion is for white women who shop at Kohls and Target. Said what I said. Knew maybe two songs just cause they've played on the radio before.

$2 million from the Major Events Incentive Fund.

Why is it called the Hondo rodeo? Seems like just branding as “The New Orleans Rodeo” would be better.
It’s because it’s a traveling rodeo that visited multiple cities and wasn’t just a New Orleans thing.

Youre right ...Old dominion sucks

Cody Johnson is real country music? Bro don’t make me laugh. Had you said Waylon, Merle or shite even maybe Strait I’d agree with you. Cody is just another Florida Georgia Line goofy pop country artist. Not saying that’s bad as I know OD is not real country, but cmon.

Screw you. OD kicked arse. Wife and I left after OD finished their set. I wish they would’ve played another hour. Hit after hit after hit. Didn’t know who Cody whatever his name was and didn’t care. Rodeo was fun to watch and OD was great.
Y'all are both tards. Saturday night was outstanding. Old Dominion was great and Cody Johnson has one of the most powerful live country music voices around right now.
I went Friday as well. Skynyrd is damned good live. Regardless of who's in the band now the musicians were flat-out AMAZING.
Was a great event and it should have been more packed for the value you got for a $100 ticket(lower bowl) and $30-50 for upper.
And seeing Neal Mccoy and Montgomery Gentry for FREE at the Street Fest before the doors opened was lagniappe.

They really did a piss poor job with marketing. I never even heard of it before about 2 weeks ago. If you want to fill the Superdome for a rodeo, you need people coming from out of town because there's not that many "cowboys" in Nola. You got to get the word out way in advance for these kind of events for people to make plans to travel.

I had to look him up on the way down there to see if he was worth sticking around for. Again, never heard of the dude or any of his music and what I heard on the way down confirmed what I thought. Bubblegum country. Which is fine but don’t make this guy out to be Willie.
