Until recently I had about 4000 but I realized that was stupid, now about 500 or so.

None, zero, nada...Never carry cash unless I know I need cash for something(parking at an LSU game, etc.). Use my debit card for 99% of any transactions I make for retail purchase. Keep right $2K in my savings account at my credit union at all times. Two kids in college, dumping as much as I can into my work TSA and personal Roth IRA...just don't have a ton of disposable income just laying around. Don't understand folks who have have "real" cash on hand...what's the purpose?

I have a safe anchored to the slab behind a fake wall. It’s fireproof.
I have about 5 grand mostly in small bills but also keep around 10 grand in 100’s.
