You know it is illegal to keep a lot of cash in your home. Also if you have cash in your home, cops are subject to take that shite from you without arresting you or you committing a crime. They can say probable cause for drugs or something gay, and take your cash. I think now they got it where they can take it from your debit card.

I have a couple hundred stashed in my gun safe just for an emergency situation.

Nice try, OP. Would you like to know the combination to my safe too?

So what do you do when there is a power outage? Like during a hurricane.
In such a situation cash is king. And have fives and ones, many stores "can't make change" during a storm for some reason.

Can be up to a couple grand. I usually have a stash I put extra cash in every other day and use is for trips.
I guess it's my way of saving up to take nice trips and it not feel like I'm pulling all the money out at one time.

A little loose change...It's 2017...no need for cash.

I used to not keep much at all. Unfortunately, my credit card has been giving me some trouble (identity theft), so I can't always count on it being functional. I generally keep several hundred dollars with me and about the same in the house.

If the terrorist ever knock out our power grid, you’re gonna be fricked.

typically about the same. I keep it in case one of my buddies gets picked up and I have to bail someone out, and yes, this has happened a couple times. having cash in hand beats having to scramble for ATMs to get enough together.
