How much better would the US be without California and Florida?

Just imagine if we could saw off Florida and California and let them be Islands. The US has to instantly improve right? No more liberals, pot smokers, bath salt taking face eaters, jort wearers, ect. Then on top of it all we could have an actual meaniful presidential race because Dems would actually have to campaign since they don't automatically start out with California

I can think of a lot more states that I'd get rid of before Florida and California.

BION, as late as the '80s, California was still considered a Republican state

Florida doesn't have income tax because so many of you spend your life savings there at Disney. Great post genius. Also California and Florida are worlds different in economies. Epic fail post.

In a political sense, hell yeah. At least for South Cali and sections of Florida. Of course you'd lose some beautiful scenery. Maybe after Trump is elected they'll just go to Chile or Canada?
