Every now and again I’ll have to ride with someone who appears to live in their car with filth and old McDonald’s bags in there.

How can people live like that? Worst case for me I’ll crumple up a receipt and put it in the side rail but never any old water bottles or anything like that.

How clean is your car or truck? (or bicycleta for tPoors)

Gym bag and that’s it. My first vehicle was a single cab little Toyota. Not enough room for clutter. I’ve always kept my vehicles tidy

Carseat and 1-2 toys on the back seat.

Occasionally a hat gets left on my passenger seat if I go play golf

Always take trash out and usually vacuum once a month

I keep a five gallon bucket behind the passenger seat to use as a garbage can.

Dump it out when I get gas.

My fat nasty friend had a jeep in our early twenties. He worked on boats in the gulf and was gone for long periods of time. He was super trashy. Floorboards full of fast food bags, plastic bottles.....you name it. He cleaned it out one time and found something like &125 in small bills and change and a completely decomposed chicken carcass under the all the stuff in the small back area.

100% true story.

Like half eaten Popeyes or an actual dead decomposing chicken?

That's a good way to do a quick eval on any woman you're considering.

Messy car, messy life.

Not 100% accurate, but pretty damn close.

Neat and tidy. I like my vehicles that way.

I keep mine pretty OCD clean. I have organizers everywhere in the car which have helped with parent life. Before I had kids my car was 100% spotless. Now I have toys and books and snacks etc. which need organizing.

eta: due to aforementioned kid snacks I have to vacuum my car like once a week

Agreed. It's disgusting. There's a trash can at virtually every gas pump so why not throw away your trash? People who choose to live like that are disgusting slobs

Was the fat nasty friend a chef on the rigs? Cause I knew that dude. He was also the same guy that would eat half cooked chicken directly off of the grill while he was cooking at my apartment.

When I was younger, I kept a fairly messy car. Not actual filth, but random stuff, empty water bottles, etc. As I got older, I got tired of having that tinge of embarrassment, so I mostly kept it clean. Once I started needing to meet with clients at Angola, my car got, and stays, extremely clean, as the guards have to search your car before you're allowed into the prison, and they will absolutely turn you away depending on what you have. Just easier not to have to worry about it

Keep my truck pretty clean. Most you will find is maybe a couple of receipts and that is about it.

I don't have the pic on my phone anymore but a few years ago I came out of the Lowe's in Hammond and their was a car parked next to me that had garbage piled up on the floor board a little above seat level in the front and back everywhere except where the driver sat. Everything from coke cans to fast food bags and even a couple of pizza boxes.

All cars are very clean outside of car seats and some toys for kids. That isn’t my pet peeve so much as my wife not caring about routine maintenance. Her 4Runner was pristine but the cabin filter was practically 100% clogged.

What I don’t get is leaving ANYTHING on the dashboard. Like besides junking up the car, wouldn’t that be such an annoying distraction while driving?

I’m going out of town on Thursday so I’m getting mine detailed. Just grass and rocks from my shoes.

Mine is spotless during the off-season. I keep tailgating supplies in the back seat of my truck during football season, but even then, I keep it fairly clean.
