I get most of my sports news from SEC Rant, most of my political news from the Poli-board, and most of my lifestyle news from the OT. This board is more reliable than any MSM outlet.

I will happily admit that the OT is my primary source of news. Hell, I’d venture to believe this site is partially responsible for breaking 99% of the news to actual local news organizations.

I'll admit it...and laugh at anyone who prefers CNN,FOX,ABC,CBS,NBC, NYT, etc,etc.

If it's not mentioned on here and broken down by the end of the 1st page of responses or a provided link, it's not news.
Years ago, I had an event that occurred outside my office that involved a murder suspect that drove his car into a business across the street when trying to escape.
With law enforcement blocking entrance or exit in the area, we didn't have any details. Within 1 hour, TD had informed us.
If it's not mentioned on here and broken down by the end of the 1st page of responses or a provided link, it's not news.

This is a fantastic start point for news
When I tell people I post on an lsu message board, they ask why and I usually say well this where you find out what the hell is going on in the world for real
We have people from all over that post here and give insights that maybe we are not privy too.
I enjoy coming here daily after lurking for years and finally signing up . It’s given me some of the hardest laughs thanks to snarky comments and some cries as we see what our fellow posters have been going through medically or emotionally .
