Flexible Time Off -- "FTO" -- no set limit
I've found this can cut both ways depending on who report to, your level of responsibility, and how unintimidated you (or aren't) about taking what you feel is owed to you. Also, no bank.
A lot of tech companies are moving to this because it's a good way to recruit talent. Before we went to FTO, I was getting 7 weeks/yr and was one of the main reasons I've stayed where I'm at. If I went to change jobs and they only offered 2 weeks, yeah, no thanks. Now if a prospective new employer offered FTO, I lose nothing and would be more likely to take the new gig. Great way to lure away tenured, experienced people.

Wait, you guys get vacation?!
Posted on 10/27/21 at 7:13 pm to Turf Taint
I get 4 weeks 8 paid holidays birthdays included and I only work six months out of the year.

I get unlimited…which is really not a good policy because I use less than the team I manage.

I usually get 6 weeks off a year. However it depends upon my shifts, which vary.

200 hrs a year.
I work shift so depending on the week I can take 24 hrs and have 7 days off.

4 with an extra week the past two years as covid relief days

I'm required to work 1920 hours a year. As long as I hit that number at the end of the year, I can take off whatever time I want. But taking more than 2 weeks at a time is going to be frowned on unless you have a good excuse.

We have to save one week for Xmas to NY, I told my boss that I liked to take my vacation when I want, I like to travel, and his exact words were.
"I don't give a frick, just don't be obvious about it." So as much as I want within reason.

Earn 20 days a year, have 30 days banked, plus 13 holidays.
ETA: plus 13 days of sick leave, which accrues over time.
Oh, and comp time and/or credit time, which is really just time off for extra time worked.

110 Hours a year cap at 220.
Our guys with 15 years get 220 and cap out at 400

get two weeks for 2 years with another 8 days of holidays. Add another 40 hours after my third year. A fourth week after either 5 or 10 years, I forget which.

27 days of PTO, and freedom tk come and go as I please as long as my work is done. I log 20 hours some weeks, and 60-70 others.
It’s pretty nice, other than those 60-70 hour weeks.

We get 4. They don’t really care though so it’s more like 6 because I ain’t reporting all that rando shite. Keep getting promoted so nobody cares.

Unlimited. Sounds good. Isn't good. Would rather have set time that gets banked
