Once like 4 years ago

I don't think I've ever officially been diagnosed with it. Maybe when I was a kid, but I don't know.
I've gotten the flu shot probably 5 times in the past 10 years (mostly because part of that time period I worked at a hospital that required it, or clients required that I have it before going onsite).

Only a couple of times.
However, I get the flu shot because I have elderly parents and babies in the family.

It's pretty crazy the number of people on here who don't get the shot

I’ve had the flu every single time I’ve gotten the flu shot. I haven’t had flu shot in 5 years, and I haven’t had flu during that time.

Never that I remember.
My boy is 2 and has had it twice.

I’ve had it twice. Once in my 20s and once last year at 50. It was the worst week that I have had in recent memory. I can absolutely see how it kills some people.

Three times. Once as a kid and twice as an adult. Both times as an adult were during Mardi Gras.

My exact experience but in my 30s. I think most folks who have the “Flu” actually have a bad strain of the common cold. I was down for a week. I’ve had it one other time, a couple of years ago, but didn’t feel quite as bad. I typically have the flu shot now but didn’t that year I got it.

I got it for the first time in decades this year. It sucked!

Think I had the flu once when I was around 10 or 11.

Once. It was so bad that I missed a week of classes. I vowed never to experience that again. I get the flu shot every year and have had no further problems.

At least 3-4 times in almost 40 years

Two that I know of, never diagnosed but when you have it like that you know it the flu. Now I try to get the shot every year.
The wife was diagnosed, swabbed, two times and didn’t even have any symptoms except an elevated temperature. She had debilitating flu one other time.

I’ve had it twice. When I was 15 or so, and last week.
