I always thought it'd be a great idea to keep a pill bottle for some popular RX but filled with exlax pills.

"broken" into? 0
Rifled through because I forgot to lock my door? More than a few.
Happened to me recently. I don't keep anything of value in my car other than a car seat. I'd be pretty pissed if they took my carseat. Turns out my target sunglasses aren't even worth stealing

Zero and I live in Nola... Mandeville previously though. Ironically, my stepdad had his truck broken into and he lives in a really nice subdivision. Stole his golf clubs.

Never.
If people would clean out their garage and park their car inside it wouldn't be broken into. Garages are for cars not ping pong tables and tv's.

Once. At around the 60,000 mile mark.
That's when you are supposed to get a maintainence overhaul.
That's what we're talking about, right?
ETA....OHHHHH
OP meant to say "into"

I choose to use my spot in the garage for a workbench and tools.

Wife parks in there. My truck would be a tight fit.

Once, in the middle of the day. I was eating lunch. Smashed my window and went through all of my stuff.

Had 2 cars stolen, one in New Orleans at Mardi Gras , the other in Atlanta 10 years later.

2 times.
Once at Bogie's. pretty sure some drunk baw just punched my car window because nothing was stolen.
Once by my old house here in Nola. They got my dewalt drill and my radar detector. Stupid of me to leave them in there I got lazy. Guy who did it was selling the drill down the street from me and my bartender (who i told about the break in) bought it back from him for $20

Never, don't even lock it. I don't live in a crap hole. Heck, half the time we forget to lock the house.

Once in NOLA
Although it wasn't "broken in"
I accidentally left it unlocked and someone went through my glove compartment and stole an old iPod

Twice. Once in Mandeville, and once in BR. I caught the guys who did it in BR with my stuff in their jackets. Doors were unlocked both times, so no broken windows

We only have a two car garage....one that would be a really tight fit with two jeeps and leave very little room for the outdoor gear we store in there. So I let my husband have the garage and I park in driveway.
Growing up in NBR I got in the habit of ALWAYS locking my car door. I could be visiting someone's house in the nicest neighborhood for only 20 minutes...I'm locking my door.
The ONE time I didn't lock my door someone that night went through my jeep and found my garage door opener. They opened our garage while we were asleep and rifled through my husband's jeep. The ignored all the tools and expensive outdoor gear stored and just took a bag from my husband's jeep. They left the garage door opened and left with my husband's bag (with like $600 worth of stuff in it) and my garage door opener.
The only reason I forgot to lock my door was that once I was home that night...I went back to my jeep to look for something I had misplaced. Unlocked my console to look for it. Must have gotten distracted by something else with my dogs and when I went back inside...forgot to lock up my console and my jeep.
Lesson learned....always lock my doors. Console is always locked now. Glove box always locked now. Bought a garage door opener I can have on my keychain instead of storing it in console.
