I wouldn't confront them to be honest. Or at least not with any malice. A pair of sunglasses isn't worth going to jail over. I'd turn on some lights and call the cops.

Once in Houston
Was in churchill’s Parking lot at westheimer and Kirby, well lit, crowded parking lot
It was a gang that did it, they hit a bunch of cars in the area routinely
They took my company laptop by busting out the rear passenger window of my dodge company truck with a screwdriver
They tried to bust the driver side door lock but it didn’t work
HPD said they see this all the time

1 attempt, all they did was damn near tear my door handle off and bent/scratched the keyhole up more than likely with a screwdriver.
