Lived there. Twice. Job and wanted to learn world outside of myself. Was always curious about other cultures and ways of life. Big world out there. London, for example, has whole world walking its streets, amazing history, architecture, cosmopolitan, and heart beat. Loved it. Go to UK and Germany et al multiple times per year for work. Not some fancy type here. Just work reality.
Blessed for the experience. Taught me to stay curious about others and myself. Draw conclusions only after analyzing info objectively and evaluate evidence, identify assumptions and biases. Seek to make reasoned, well-supported judgment rather than accepting ideas at face value. Or at least these were always the goal.
Start of career felt much bigger than I was. End of career feel much more proportionate with this big world we live in, including all of the things that make humans the same and the critical differences - that enrich life or unfortunately sometimes tear it apart.
Experience it for yourself. Just may see some more perspectives on subject, draw some different conclusions or reinforce what you know. Do it.
