The birds are native (with the exception of the despicable house sparrow and European Starling). The cat is introduced and doesn't belong in any of our ecosystems. They are devastating many species.

I guess I'm a dick. We adopted one from LSU vet place because there's a canal behind my house and we were seeing way too many rodents and snakes in our yard. Wife is terrified of snakes and I was tired of putting out mouse/rat traps. The outdoor cat is fixed, he kills rodents and he comes inside when it's very cold. So how am I a dick?
