I get every other Friday off and have half days on the ones I work.
Whatever the frick I want. If it isn't hunting season I'll usually go hiking with my dog or throw a dummy for her at the local park's pond in the morning. I'll then do some yoga and get caught up on yardwork. Sometimes I'll play some pickleball with the old farts or get a 6 pack and play disc golf. I try to be outside as much as possible on my weekends.

Guy I work with does this all year long. He doesn't go on vacations. Just does 3 day weekends randomly throughout the year.

If I'm taking a Friday off it's either to fish, hunt, or travel. Never understood people who waste PTO to sit at home and not do shite.
I agree with this.If I need a random day off for rest and recovery, I take a Wedneday off to recharge midweek. If I take a Friday, there's a purpose.

To travel, and do family stuff. Or just day drink.

Yep. My friends and I do it all throughout the year for various reasons.
I also work from home on Mondays and Fridays, and usually by 2pm or so on a Friday, my email is DEAD. So I have no issue going grab a happy hour or something. As long as you're not actively avoiding working/ignoring clients, it's not a big deal.

I take more fridays off than I work - and no I’m not on 4-10s. Fridays I do work, if I’m working after lunch I’m pissed.
Usually golf or catch up around the house if I traveled that week.

Retired now, but when I was working, I regularly took fridays off before home football games in order to get ready for tailgating on Saturday’s. If I didn’t do this, I would invariably find myself frantically making hamburger patties at midnight or some other nonsense.
If just taking a day off to run errands or something like that, I would rather take Monday off.

I work 50-60 hours a week.
I'm taking off so I can not do a DAMN thing bc I'm always doing something with work. It's bliss to turn off and unplug.

I’m a fan of Mondays myself as I get older. Plus if you take a short weekend vacation, Sunday nights are the cheapest for hotels

We have a use it or lose it policy at work. I like to travel with my wife, but before I lose my days I'm with you.

I go to lunch in the Quarter every Friday and don’t go back to the office. In fact I’m usually still out drinking until 8:00 or 8:30

I work from home on Tuesdays and Fridays (accounting), and most of my Fridays I work for about 4 hours. I go to the gym at lunchtime and then get in the pool for about 30 minutes. Nothing exciting, cuz I'm 67.

I don’t work Friday afternoons and mostly use my time to drink

Maybe you should work Friday so you can make more money and afford a club in your own city.
