Anybody made it into Pineland Park estates? I've been unable to get any information on my parent's house. They're safe in Houston with us but are anxious about their situation

Tree service, then roofer. There will be plenty of clean up crews around over the next few days. Go talk to them and have them do it. Next, put up a tarp and secure it very well. Then call as many roofers as you can find and go with whichever one can do it the fastest.

What if the tree impacts the trusses from framing and/or other utilities (plumbing, etc.)? Do insurance companies have some type of structural engineer review prior to repair?

We evacuated with some friends who live in there, from what I understand there is significant tree damage to several houses, I saw a picture earlier of Bigner and it looked about as bad a Katrina pertaining to trees down.

Got a buddy and his fam trying to get to Gulf Shores from Metairie but need gas on Northshore.
Anybody know if stations are opened and supplied?

I would be truly surprised if a lot of cleco customers don’t have power back before a week. But we will see I guess

My sister went and checked on my house. She said it seemed like every other house had a tree on it. Thankfully, mine didn't but it looks like a bomb went off in my yard.

Just left the North Shore and drove to Fairhope, AL. The closest gas stations that I saw open were in Diamondhead, MS.

Just made it back to BR. Took I12 to Covington hey 21. Went north to just park downtown up 21 a bit. Tons of trees and lines down. Also a ton of work crews out clearing roadways. Pretty smooth sailing mostly. Interstate is wide open. Cell service seems to be popping back up sporadically in the area and en route back to BR.

Honestly not as much damage as I remember seeing post Katrina on the same route just 1 day post storm.

ETA: Stay safe, don’t make stupid decisions and if you go in bring enough supplies to get you back out. I don’t think their stores and gas will be open for quite a bit

The racetrack on Gause by outback in Slidell is open. Lines are 5-10 cars deep though

I just need the tree gone and temp repair. I'll get a general contractor for the permanent. Pretty sure it's that bad. But thanks for the replies. Got someone coming who will remove the tree and do a tarp/patch repair.
