I fully admit my partner is the domestic one in our relationship. He can cook better, clean better, and he does all the handyman stuff too.

But I work 60+ hours a week so it works for us.

My wife cooks, but doesn’t clean up after herself. So i do the greater majority of cleaning. It’s kind on infuriating that she won’t wipe up after herself when she spills things. Her parents ruined her.

Taught my wife about separating colors and whites/pastels. I also had to show her the right way to wash dishes by hand haha.

I believe it is a truly southern gentleman thing. Rednecks and Northerners ain't cut for it.

Cleaning is an interesting one.

I’d never given it much thought but I did the house top to bottom once and it’s incredible how inefficient some of the accepted practices are for house cleaning.

Showers for example. People actually scrub each tile and grout line by hand? I hooked up a brush attachment to my power drill, sprayed a solvent that broke up the soap scum and lipids that actually cause the residue that gets in the grout and the entire shower enclosure looked brand new.

Cleansers for kitchen use are also strange to me. You ever check all the chemicals in the household cleaners they sell? I mix up a little dawn with some lemon juice and throw in a small amount of bleach to kill germs then add water in a sprayer and it cleans and smells better than the chemical cocktail they sell you at the store.

Not at all other than grilling. I'm from Central.

My wife can run circles around me in the kitchen.

Pro tip: put 1 ounce of dr bronners peppermint castille soap in a 32 ounce spray bottle full of water.

Makes everything smell like peppermint and works great at cleaning

She is better at cleaning and gardening. Cooking is about even. I’m better at yard work and fixing stuff.

She kicks my arse in decorating. My decor consists of lots of taxidermy, sports and outdoors paintings and one nice painting of Robert E Lee with his men on horseback behind him holding a confederate flag

I wish. I've never met a woman under 35 who can cook like a woman who's 70.

My wife is definitely a good bit older than 35

If you call your wife or girlfriend your "partner," you are also probably the type of chump who's going to wind up doing most of the housework.
