Our house keeper worked for Brad pitt and Angelina Jolie when they lived here, so basically I know all of Hollywood.
I'm pretty famous.

This is a very, very tenuous connection, but it just sticks out in my mind.. when i lived in California years ago, a buddy of mine was housesitting at this really nice house up in the Hollywood Hills.. we were all broke at the time, so he invited us all up to watch the Super Bowl , thinking it’d be cool for us to have a nice pad to watch the game at.. at some point during the game, i needed somehting, a paperclip i think, so my buddy brings me into the guy’s office, the guy who owned the house - and i noticed this statuette.. i said ‘Is that an Emmy award?’ And my friend was like ‘Yeah the homeowner is a tv writer’.. so i read the inscription on the statue, and I noticed there was a framed picture nearby- turns out the guy had won the Emmy for writing the sketch in the old Carol Burnett show (for any oldtimers like me who can remember that far back) where she wears a curtain rod as Scarlett O’Hara in a spoof of Gone with the Wind.. it’s iconic now, and this guy actually wrote it.. it was one of those “only in L.A.’ moments for sure .

I'm related to 2 Presidents (both of which would connect to several famous people), a famous fighter at the Alamo, and a country singer, and my wife is related to 2 musical artists (one being a particularly famous Canadian), and Ed Orgeron.

One of my former bosses eventually became the Foreign Minister of Australia. Not the current one.

At one time I worked with a great-niece of Moe, Curly, and Shemp Howard.

My great, great, great grandmother is Sarah Boone sister of Daniel Boone. Not sure if I have the correct number of greats but she is in my family tree.

We met Charley Pride in a restaurant inside the Marksville casino. He was a very humble and nice man. We have a picture somewhere of him and our kids even though they have absolutely no clue what a legend he was.

My cousin is a character actor, he has something like 80 credits on IMDB. He was in a few bigger RomCom type movies back in the early 2000’s, but mostly does stuff like Hallmark movies these days.

I’ve met a bunch of Hollywood folks through him over the years. Most of them, save a few, are people you’d probably rather not know. Just empty people.

I grew up a few doors down from Chuck Noll, so as a kid I met a good deal of the Steelers players from the 80’s and 90’s.

Through one of my previous roles, met several CEO’s. Most of them have been pretty interesting people, a few of them were so disconnected, you wonder how the hell they managed to get themselves dressed in the morning.

My favorite chance meeting was Xhibit. Met him at the Palms casino in Vegas back during the height of the Pimp my Ride era. That guy was incredibly nice. It was during CES, so the porn show was going on as well. He was there with a couple of porn stars and living it up.
