Now THAT is a unicorn level celebrity acquaintance.

I knew Vince Williams, soap opera actor, slightly in college.
My parents' neighbor is race driver Ryan Newman's cousin.
My brother snagged a signed photo of Terry LaBonte.
My other brother worked at an airport, met several college coaches (and picked up some team caps and shirts).
Oh, and I've met Karl Malone.
Interviewed Bobby Hebert.
My nephew knows Foster Moreau.

My step-grandfather was married before he married my grandmother. He divorced his first wife and she moved to L.A. She ended up being the woman that lived with John Wayne for the last years of his life and was his secretary/mistress. She wrote a biography about him called Duke: A love story.

My girlfriend in college originally went to TCU before transferring to LSU. While she was there, her roommate was a girl from Omaha who was dating Chris Klein. While they were still roommates Klein broke up with her. The first frat party they went to after the breakup, Klein brought Katie Holmes and my girlfriend had to take her crying roommate home..

Went to high school with Freddy from House of Cards. Traded emails with Steven Tyler.

An absolutely sweet kind lady to me.

I know and have been fortunate to have a bunch of powerful customers. Most of them I have the keys and alarm codes to their places and am welcome to stay at their place if I need a bed. They will even send the hired help to cook if I want.

Some are legit billionaires. Politicians ( I tell them that politicians suck, they know it and laugh ) Judges ,etc.

I had one active professional football player customer.

One of the worst customers I ever had. When they had a strike he owed me about a 1000 bucks. Wouldn’t answer his phone.

Googled his agent and called her. She told me he was in Europe and cold not be contacted. I called her BS and told her that she had a slush fund to clean up messes. Told her I needed money. Or NOLA was poised to write a story about NFL deadbeats that couldn’t pay bills. She changed her attitude.

Told her to have my money on my desk by noon. She said I can’t get it there that fast. Told her she better hire a courier. It was hand delivered by 10:00.

Spent a bit of "off" time with my very good friend, Josh Bertrand, of the MLF Bass Pro Tour this past week. They fished Caney Creek Reservoir and Bussey Brake.

I was in a Natchez hotel breakfast buffet line with Percy Sledge and (Arkansas governor) Mike Huckabee. Percy played at the casino that weekend, and Huckabee was in town for some music/museum event in Ferriday. Mike apparently plays bass or something, and they talked about music. Percy pointed out that Clinton was a pretty good sax man.

Kevin Spacey and Wesley Snipes came to the movie theater I worked at to preview their movies (K-Pax & Blade 3) Juvenile used to come watch movies pretty often

Christopher Plummer and Gerard Butler came to O’Flaherty’s while they were filming Dracula 2000 when I worked there
