Not long. The south Louisiana episodes make me realize that it is one of the worst environments to try and survive in the world. Food wise it’s fantastic, but the insects and heat are a bad deal.

Would probably have the captain of the boat turn around before I even got off

I would basically cover myself in mud like Arnold did in predator.

I’m keeping the mosquitos off of me

Dude, I'm out of shape as hell but I could at least make it a couple days, even if all I did was roll around in mud and lie there.

I would have to get in shape and really be determined to stand a chance at 60. I'd love to get there some day but I think I'd probably just roll around in the mud and lay there until the crew intervened.

Screw Naked and Afraid but I would love to try “Alone”

I have no illusions that I would last anywhere near as long as most of the contestants but I would be curious just how long I could. I fell like I could make week maybe two.

PLOT TWIST: Nutria Itch. Two male contestants now have paper mache nuts because of parasitic eggs left in the water by nutria identified as Nutria Itch

At least 1. If there are biting bugs probably only 1. If no/limited bugs and water is available maybe 3 or 4.

Depends on the environment. But I doubt I’d make it to day 2 in the basin. I’ve hunted Sherburne and the mosquitos made it absolutely miserable all day long, not even just dawn and dusk. I swore that place off until later season once we get enough cold and wind to keep the bugs at bay

I was a helper for a land survey company when I was younger. Launched a boat down in Dularge at the falgout marina and got off on a body of land about 20 minutes out early morning. There was a cloud of mosquitoes I was not prepared for and I was protected with skin so soft. The bites were so bad my entire body felt like it was on fire. I knew then I wasn’t cut out for the outdoors. No way I’d survive an hour in the swamp butt arse naked.

I've done a fair amount of backcountry camping. Multi-day stuff with minimal gear.

Don't think I would attempt 60 days in the basin for a million bucks.

Well, there’s a difference between outdoors elsewhere and outdoors with those damn things. They can get so bad it’s hard to breathe.

What really surprised me was how bad they were up in Canada and in the tundra. It’s ridiculous.

Nighttime would be brutal. Bugs + heat = a no go for me. I've gotta have my personal fan

I have a buddy down here I worked with who said he killed a mosquito that had a tick behind its ear. I believe him.

What size? A child size low cut sock or one of those long tube socks that go all the way to your knees.

While some women are members of the itty bitty titty committee, some men are members of the itty bitty wiener committee.
