I mean 10 employees or more. Anyone ever get sick of it and wish they never ventured out? Or maybe it wasnt looking great and things turned in the right direction and it worked out. I’d like to hear some stories of both

When you work for yourself, you work for a lunatic.

I own a pocket pussy manufacturing firm. We are looking to expand into the dildo market this year but scaling has been hard

I have 18 employees. I like it. It’s a lot of work though.

Been in business 15 yrs, currently 25 employees. Love it, but yes i’ve had a few times when I wanted to say frick it and roll out. Had an ole baw sit down with me last year about buying me out. I thought about it hard but not quite ready for that!

I just work at a circumscision ward. The hourly sucks but the tips are good and there’s always potential to get ahead.

7 years and 25 employees.
No regrets because you learn a hell of a lot more about everything. But don’t think it automatically relates to riches. It’s the exception that make money.
Wouldn’t change it though.
PS - I started it right out of school. I’ve never had a grown up job working for someone else.

Does having more than 10 subs count? If so yes.

I don't but it sounds like a tremendous headache. Like your business will just become your life.

Don't have ten employees, but no. Never want to work for someone else ever again

2 businesses. 45+ employees. 25 yrs. Love it. I don't even consider it work. Can't wait to get there Monday morning.
It's hard and frustrating at times but the good far outweighs the bad. When my youngest son graduates college and I get him in the business (2sons in business)I'll start slowing down a bit. Probably won't ever fully retire. Just step back a little.
However, all offers considered.

Me.
If you have a good manager then it’s not so bad.

I understand that can be a bastard, but having your own employees, 401, insurance, workman’s comp, is a different animal

5 W2 employees and currently 72 1099 subcontractors but that number fluctuates monthly + or - 10 people depending on projects. It's hectic but it affords me a lot of opportunities since I can work from anywhere with a cell signal and internet. Like anything it has it's ups and downs but I'd probably kill myself if I had to punch a time clock or answer to someone else daily.

I get sick of the work, but not of the money.
