Never bought into the ecosystem so their usefulness loses a lot of its efficiency
Phones are so good now I'm buying $200 phones and Apple doesn't even offer that option. I hate their forced limitations.

I used to be in that crowd. I'm coming from a Google Pixel XL and the iPhone (10 series, doesn't matter the model) is solid.
Like it or not, agree or disagree ... iMessage is a great chat/text system when compared to standard messaging apps in Android.

One Apple device, a MBP that I dual boot with Windows 7 & El Capitan but run Windows 99% of the time.

UNIX designers, marketing people/women, and of course sales people at my workplace choose MacBooks. Since I’m a software engineer and use Windows to run JavaScript and C++ I prefer my Lenovo X-1 Carbon any day over iOS or any MacBook.
I’ll Go with an Android over an iPhone for my company and personal phone a well.
