You do know that there are varying degrees of “Mardi Gras” one can do, right? It’s not all balls to the wall huge drunken crazy crowds 10 people deep.

Not to mention parades are increasingly becoming more of an opportunity to get shot

After the first few parades, I was totally bored. Same thing x 80 floats. No thanks

Life is too dumb to always act smart.

I hate Mardi Gras too. So contrived. It insists upon itself.

That was my point. It seems almost everyone reading my post understood this. Your reading comp. is lacking.

Man, they whipping your arse in the comments.
Let people enjoy things, but calling out people enjoying Mardi Gras parades as low IQ behavior makes me think you like the smell of your own farts.

I think the only requirement is not to be a self righteous and pretentious douche.

I get the sentiment of getting older, but Mardi Gras is pretty well ingrained in LA culture. We took our kids to have the Nola experience when they were younger, and they had a blast. I loved Nola MG parades in college, but that's not really my thing anymore. I do love a local parade like Spanish Town and always go to the St. Patrick's Day parade.
It's like tailgating. Kind of a pain in the butt to get there, but I've never once regretted going or had a bad time.

Such a low IQ take. But I understand the opinion from tards whose only experience of Mardi Gras is attending a small town shitty trash parade or going to Nola and hanging in the French Quarter or along Canal street.

I just go for hang out, eats and drinks with friends with the parade as a fun event to be around.
Right. It's a social event. The OP probably tailgates at CFB games and Mardi Gras is tantamount to one big tailgate.
