The Best by Date is 20201015, so almost 2 weeks past.

Does size of egg and if organic make a difference? The eggs have remained refrigerated since purchase.

You shouldn't be walking on eggshells about consuming them...

You can go weeks past the date. If they smell bad, they are bad. Pretty simple.

Google (or whatever search engine you like) is your friend. Use it.

Now I'm confused, should I throw half away and keep the rest?

Quite a bit. As in months. Pasteurized eggs are pretty stable. Hell, they aren’t even refrigerated over in Europe. (Although we wash off the wax cuticle because we are scared of Salmonella making us shite our pants and as a result American eggs doesn’t quite have THAT much stability.)

Just crack one open and take a whiff. If it’s bad you’ll know.

(And skip the floating test. Older eggs will have more buoyancy than fresh eggs, but it doesn’t definitively discriminate them as bad)

I’m sure you can. Just never really wanted to test this out.

Growing up, my mom always said you can go a month past the expiration date. She said eggs can go well past the date.

We never got sick.

They are fine as long as they do not smell

I buy eggs 15 dozen at a time and we don’t always finish them before the ‘best by’ date - and we are all still here
