Its not a commute when you do it once a year, thats a move. I bet your real commute is like a 2 minute walk.

15 minutes in the morning. 30 in the afternoons with traffic and a beer stop.

10 miles round trip. About 25 minutes a day depending on traffic.

I do it every 5 weeks. My commute to the office once I get there is around 20 minutes.

Right outside the back gate of Fort Gordon. Ten minutes in the morning and ten minutes in the evening. Quite nice.

15 min going
18 min leaving
$100 in tolls a month to avoid an extra 15 min each way

Aren't you single and don't you not have to pay taxes if you are gone all year? I assume you make at least 6 figures so why wouldn't you just stay away for a year straight, come back for a few months, and then leave the country for a year?

7 minutes about 1.5 miles.

I'll win (or lose) this thread. 185 miles round trip. Hour and a half each way.

Anywhere from 10 seconds to get to my home office to 200 miles to Lake Charles.

I already have that planned out. Divorce isn't final yet and I need to make one more trip back here to finalize everything and make sure the step-daughter is functioning well on her own. After that I plan to move to Swakopmund Namibia.
It isn't entirely tax free, first $95k only, and I can only be in country 30 days.
