Define "talking".

I can "talk" to my spouse for an hour with my contributions limited to periodic head nods, "uh-huh"s and an occasional "Really, what did she say?"

I would kill for a few hours. But she's pretty okay with knowing when she's talking to me and when she's talking at me.

I've gone weeks when I was deployed. Probably the longest I've gone since is 12 hours. If I'm on a guy's trip or hunting with my Dad, I still call her morning and night. I know I could go longer, but I wouldn't want to.

shite, it seems rare that I even get one full hour of silence from her.

Personally, I could go hours but don't think I could go a full day.

I swear - she'll start a fight just to get some words out my mouth. This pic is so accurate.

This actually happened recently. I took off the whole week between Christmas and New Years while she was working from home. My intent was to be a lazy POS and spend most of the week playing video games, because I haven't had the chance in a while, while she was working. She ended up doing maybe 2 hours of work the whole week.

At one point later in the week, she came into the room I was in and started going on about about how it "felt like I was her roommate instead of her husband." I put the controller down and said "did you just come to start a fight in an attempt to start a conversation, instead of just coming to talk to me?"

She froze for a moment, pointed at me and said "You're right, I did just do that. I don't know why I just did that."

I was shocked.

Troll post. We know you are not married. Married men know that sex goes away once you get home from the honeymoon.

My wife will try the silent treatment when she is pissed about something and I guess she assumes that it is punishment to me but I enjoy the peace and quiet.

My wife is my best friend, but I could easily go 3-4 weeks. She, on the otherhand, not so much.
