SJW's would cry "rape" about 30 seconds after walking in the door where I work when they hear what we talk about

The atmosphere is laid back. I really enjoy working with my co-workers (for the most part.) We can wear shorts and t-shirts. The work itself is very serious, which is why the atmosphere needs to be a little lax. If it were an uptight "corporate" atmosphere, people would be going nuts.

ETA: Edited for poor grammar.

Tdu I had no clue you were a teacher?

My oldest son is a senior this year and is struggling to pass his Spanish which he needs to graduate in less than 2 months. I hired him a tutor she is Spanish Teacher at a local high school. Frickin smoke show at 27 and she is running the Boston marathon this weekend. If I was younger and wanted more kids I would try and hit it. I am done with them days though.

I know I have a pretty sweet gig, especially for a nurse. That's why I keep my mouth shut, stay out of my coworkers' drama, treat everyone the same, do my job the best that I can, and go home. I'm not fricking this one up.

Jeans and a plain shirt/tshirt is appropriate attire

Lots of field work though. I only dress nice for meetings.

Work for myself. Some days I never get outta my gym shorts. I occasionally have to go to city council or P&Z meetings and I do put on a jacket for that. I used to put on a tie but no more. Most council people are up there in polos at best.

You would not believe how hard it is to find someone with a decent IT background, who can obtain a TWIC, follow written procedures, and who doesn't want to work from home every day.

Anyway, I'm a gym manager atm and it's too laid back. I'm counting down the days until I'm in California lol.

Outside of my high school days, I've never worked in an "uptight" environment. Started with a small business of about 15 and the owner let people start drinking at their desks on Fridays around 3PM (we closed at 4:30). That was early to mid 2000's.

Next job was at a major corporation, and it was surprisingly chill.

Current job is with another small company (12 people) and also laid back.

The thing that all of the offices had in common are that they were male dominated. The women at each company were either somewhat isolated from the men in sales/engineering, or, in two cases, were just as obnoxious as the guys. Have never worked with someone easily offended/likely to bitch to HR.
