Friend,
The correct phrasing is different from, not different than. Please change your title, as poor grammar spreads like a virus.

In formal writing, different from is generally preferred to different than. This preference has to do, in part, with the historical use of the word than. This term entered English as a conjunction often used with comparative adjectives, such as better, taller, shorter, warmer, lesser, and more, to introduce the second element in a comparison. Different is not a comparative adjective. Thus, when different than first started appearing in English, it sounded grating or less natural to discerning ears. From has been used with the verb differ since at least the 1500s, which paved the way for different from to be readily accepted into the lexicon. Different than is common in American English, but might sound strange to British ears, and in the UK, different to is a common alternative that is seldom used in the US.

Friend,
From that same article:
Thus, even if you use relaxed American English grammar rules, you should still use different from when there is anything but a clause following different.

From that same article:
quote:
When in doubt, stick with different from. However, note that there is a time and place for different than. When what follows is a clause, than can be the more elegant choice: My grandmother looks different than I remember. From works best when what follows is a noun or noun phrase: My grandmother looks different from that old photograph of her.
Thus, even if you use relaxed American English grammar rules, you should still use different from when there is anything but a clause following different.

What about a subject and a predicate?
Where is the present and past participle?

Eh its the OT.
Half of you are drunk anyway.

people who will likely die soon anyway,
Can you stop saying that? each time you say it, it seems like you lose about 10 IQ points. People can have medical problems right now but still live 40 more years.
Is the problem that you have to get back to work because you neglected to save any money? Don't be like a patch hand, Baw. Save some during the good times.

Not this entirely original shite again.

The vast majority the those that have died would've been lucky to see another five years. We all know that if we're being honest with ourselves.

I'm actually still working as usual and have two years worth of living expenses saved.

The longer this goes on, the more people lose jobs, the more people burn through their savings, retirements, kid's college funds, etc.

Do we refuse to fight wars just because we'll lose lives.
Actually we've fought in plenty of unnecessary wars which have cost many American lives.

So you are just wanting a lot of quality people to die for nothing, Derrick Todd?
The economy is already hurt. It will come back strong.

So you believe you are immuned from this virus?
That you will be the one to survive, yet spread it to others?
You have as good a chance to die from it as anyone.

That's a completely different argument than "these people have no more than five years left anyway let them die" which is very grotesque and which you have posted.

You have to pick and choose what officials you invest in. Some are equal to you in their sociopathy, and also not very smart. This is an unprecedented event and most are trying to speak as if they are knowledgeable. Their whole product is theatrics, with little substance.
