BTW I caught this thing two weeks ago in Colorado. Got over it in three days, not that bad I think some people that have underlying conditions their body just freaks out n shuts down.

The callousness of this post is astounding. Put yourself in the shoes of someone who is high risk or the shoes of someone with a loved one who is high risk and tell me you'd be willing to serve them up as a sacrifice for the fricking economy. I have a 15 year old who is high risk. The fact that people think (after 2 weeks of just staying home) that his life doesn't matter is frightening.

Did you read anything I posted?
Keep the high risk people quarantined.
Let healthy people live their everyday lives. Destroying the economy doesnt help your 15 year old any more than the coronavirus will.

Yes. I did. But it's short sighted. Prior to the shut down, my SO and I were struggling with what to do. Because we can quarantine him, but if his siblings were still going to school and we were still going to work, it wouldn't really be protecting him. And while we have some flexibility in our jobs, there was no way to keep his siblings out of school legally. Which is just like him going to school. We don't have a giant house where he can have a separate wing to protect him from his own family. I'm grateful the decision was made for us.

Is it worth America as we know it crashing and the deaths of thousands more because of financial ruin? Is it worth your kid potentially starving to death?
Those are dramatic examples but a shutdown of months upon end could catapult us into something much worse than the Great Depression.

Keeping everything open doesnt mean your kid dies.
Also, whats keeping your kid from catching this shite when someone inevitably opens everything back up if there isnt a vaccine at that point?

It's also also not worth it to many.
Some will run out of money soon, some business will not reopen. I'm sure those would depisagree with you.
