How important is kissing to you and/or SO?

In Pretty Woman the fact is brought out that kissing might be more intimate than sexual intercourse. Therefore the hooker portrayed by Julia Roberts said she didn't kiss Johns. In this way it is more important than sex.
If you look at it from a germaphobic perspective the human mouth is literally a shitehole. My dental hygienist told me that while at school they showed them bacteria under a microscope from someone's mouth and then from fecal matter and it looked the exact same. Bad breath that smells like shite, well, it's more accurate than you might believe. I call this view a minimalist view.
So how important is kissing to you and/or your SO?

Let me give you the bacteria for dummies edition. If they took some of your brain cells and put them under a microscope they would first say, "we're gonna need a more powerful microscope." Then they would say these cells look just like bacteria from someone's mouth.

In a relationship it's very possible to have sex and not kiss. I always reflect when that happens like Woah. It's not right.
