How good are you at driving interstates in big cities?

I’m fine driving downtowns where traffic is slow. Going into interstates and 8 lane highways I’m awful and get anxious. Having to cross over 8 lanes to turn left in less than a mile and everyone driving 90 is something I don’t like :lol Making the drive to Houston soon to see my daughter (no pics) and always dread the drive in and back home.

I45 is Mad Max level carnage but you just need to keep your head on a swivel and drive defensively

I do ok in Atlanta. Lived there a while. That's all I got.

Interstate driving doesn’t bother me. Now, I would get stressed going into the roundabouts that I saw in Rome where it’s like 6 vehicles wide and basically zero lanes

Driving in BR gives you lot's of practice. Not as much now that they changed the College Dr exit. But, that one in the past and coming off of the bridge east bound will test your skills.

When I see someone riding slow in the fast lane it is one demographic 95% of the time

Been doing it all my life.
Live in Nashville and the traffic is horrendous,

Depends.
Are the cup holders large enough for my tall boy to fit, or do I have to drive with it between my legs?

Yep, because of the job I had up until a couple years ago I had to drive in Atlanta quite a lot and after I got used to it I did pretty well. I will say I haven't missed it one bit since I've left that position though

It use to not bother me but for some reason last 3-4 years it’s become worse on me mentally. I get anxious when I wake up and until I finally get to my location I need to be

I get white knuckles.

Grow a pair. And how many left exits are there? I know of one in Baton Rouge.

That's because here, driving on the Interstate is a 15-30 MPH crawl at all times of the day except midnight.

I've driven in many big cities over my 30 years as a driver & it's never concerned me before.
I commute to downtown Houston 4 days a week. I'd much rather deal with changing multiple lanes with cars flying by than sitting in bumper to bumper traffic getting out of downtown.

I lived in Atlanta. I'm pretty used to it, but when I go to a new city and am unfamiliar with the exits it can be stressful, even with Waze on. Philadelphia and DC are the worst I've been to so far. Dallas wasn't too bad, unless you get off and try to get back on in certain places.
At one time I commuted 25 miles each way every day and I thought nothing of it. I have worked from home for a long time now, and it is a bit more stressful since it is not something I still do daily.

I just get in the left lane and do my thing. Sometimes people pass on right.

I grew up in New Orleans and reside in Shreveport. I’m fine on interstate around Shreveport but even I-10 around NO gets to me

Interstates are fine unless there are exits on the left side. It’s downtowns that often mess me up. Some cities have different rules for pedestrians and just sort of different unwritten rules or variations on the courtesy/aggression scale.

I am good. Only city that I really get nervous about is Los Angeles when I travel for work. The High 5 in Dallas is garbage but I drive thru that all the time

How old are you.
I always forget that dad is getting older until things remind me. He is 78. We are in Katy. He is now “can’t drive at night” guy.
