How efficient is the Squatty Potty?

I have a friend on Facebook who is bragging about the squatty potty he bought for his family. Is this thing really that efficient? Anyone on the OT have one?

You'll never want to drop a mud monkey without one once you try it. I'm not even joking.

First time I used mine, I pooped out all the gum I swallowed when I was 10.
Lost 7 lbs first week

I honestly didn't notice a difference. I don't have one, but shat somewhere that did.

Howard Stern won't shut up about it and I don't doubt that it works, but it looks kind of trashy to me. Unless you have a really large storage closet right by your toilet or you want to keep it in a spare, lightly used bathroom it's gross.
The thing that makes it somewhat appealing to me is that my new Toto bidet/toilet from Japan is so fricking high that it does make pooping less efficient and pleasant. But my bathroom is unbelievably feng shui now and that plastic gizmo will ruin it.

I feel like the increased stream lining of the poop chute would cause an increase in splash backs

I will duplicate this effect with a pair of beer boxes in the morning and report back.

This is the correct way to use the toilet.
