You take them down? Why would you do that. Just turn off the blower and let them lay on the ground until the next year.

I got shot down so fast. But I convinced him to buy ice cream so I guess that eases the pain.

Was walking around the neighborhood this morning and saw a tree up in someone’s window. I’ll bring this up at the next HOA meeting and fight for rules prevent trees up in someone’s house before Thanksgiving

Wrong. 12 days of Christmas is January 6th, the Epiphany. That's when the decorations come down.

Who gives a frick? Putting them up now doesn’t hurt anyone. If you enjoy them, put them up. I’m putting mine up next weekend because I enjoy them. If you are going to go through the hassle, why not have them up for awhile?

Because you are overlooking Thanksgiving you ogre. By dismissing a celebration of a significant event in our national history, you are further diminishing our history while simultaneously diminishing the significance of Christmas. If all we do is focus on Christmas from Labor Day onward nothing- including Christmas- will have any significance.

You’re like a Child who can’t enjoy a meal cause all you think about is desert. Grow up.

Yes...way too early.

Can't we just enjoy Thanksgiving first?

Anything before the weekend after Thanksgiving is too early.

Whoever came up with the idea of putting decorations up before Thanksgiving was a genius. Skip one minor consumer holiday for another bigger one. Hell, there are Black Friday sales going on right now in some stores.

Just burying the meaning of Christmas before we even get to the season now.

Yep. The Christmas decorations come down, and Mardi Gras goes up. 12th Night...the end of Christmas and the beginning of Mardi Gras Season.

While today may be too early, I think most (including me) will do it before Thanksgiving this year since turkey day is so late this year.

Mine are up. Inside and out. Fight me.

We still celebrate and enjoy Thanksgiving. This excuse is such bullshite. I don’t see anyone with their Thanksgiving decorations out.
