15 minutes.

15 min early is 5 min late... Grandpa taught me that. Get there with enough time to relax, drink a cup of coffee, shite/piss or whatever and get on with your day.!
If a millennial show up whenever, have craft beer shits until bout noon, admire your cool beard, and clothes, then SJW until you leave because you are a worthless pos that we can't fire thanks to "laws", and were dumb enough to pick you from the shite pool of applicants that we had......

I have a career not a job. I just do what I need to when I need to. Some days is 8 hours, some is 12+, and others is 6 or less.
I am shocked that amount of low paid people on this board worried about clocking.

I don't understand why some people go to work 30-45 min early every day. They sit in a breakroom, or sit outside and smoke, or sit in the locker room on a bench. Some people live less than 1 mile away and do this. I only want to be there the 8 hours I have to be there.
Feel good about yourself. I'm 45 min late everyday. Until recently I never even showed up until 10:30 AM everyday.

I'm living in my office, so I'm usually waking up a quarter of an hour before my first co worker arrives. I give the cleaning crew a few dollars to keep their mouths shut.

At this one job I was at, I'm pretty sure I'm a legend there about getting in to work right at 7:00am.
Some of the guys would get there 30 mins early, some 5 mins but I would get there right at 7 or 6:59. They all knew when I got there, it was time to work.
frick that coming in early bullshite. Also at my current job, we were usually about 5-10 mins late everyday.
When the boss don't give a frick.

For all of the "ballers" there sure are a lot of clock in clock out employees.
Too many people don't understand what showing up on time means. The ones that do get the promotions. The ones that don't are the ones that just don't understand why they don't get anywhere.

Showing up for work at a specific time means you're low paid? I'm a manager working for a government agency, I have to be at work at specific times. I'm really not sure how that equates to low pay.

No set time to be there. I get there between 7:30-8:30 and leave at 4

Start work around 5:00 AM everyday including weekends and typically end work around 10:00 PM.
I have free time throughout the day but I am always on call and haven't had a vacation in 10 years where I didn't work at least a portion of the day
What do you do? That doesn't sound fun.

I don't punch a clock so I get there when I get there.

Well, I get comp time, so working extra some days means leaving early other days, or not even going in at all. Comes in handy during hunting season.

30 minutes, have to have time to pee in the coffee and rub my balls on all keyboards

Leave at 7:45 every day. If I don't catch a train, I am a few minutes early or right on time. If I catch a train, I'll be 5-10 minutes late. Thing is, I drop my morning deuce on my time, pre-showe. Most every other co-worker drops a 10+ minute morning turd on company time. So while some may appear to be better workers by showing up before me, in the end, I've got 5-10 minutes on them come 9AM. Doesn't really matter since no one is significantly late and the bosses aren't trivial about that kind of thing.

I have to be there at 9:00 and usually get there about 8:15. I drop my niece off at daycare, get t work, open the offices, make coffee, and am ready to go at 9:00.
I hate to be late for anything and am early almost everywhere

I am an operations manager.
I get paid well and accept the responsibility that goes with it.
