Trashy? Not trashy? Does the setting matter (taking a nap on any given day at your house versus taking a nap while on vacation with friends)? What is the OT consensus?

There's nothing better than a good day nap.

I've never been much of a napper. For some reason, I just feel like shite when I wake up.

I take a nap every sunday. Get up and walk the dog and back to sleep.

I love a good nap after lunch but it sure messes up my sleep schedule that night. I’ll wake up at 4am and I am awake till the alarm goes off.

Kids still nap, every weekend for about an hour and half. So I nap once a week on average, typically on Sundays. It's great.

"power naps" are also very effective for me. If I come home from work and feel like the rest of the evening will just drag on because I'm really tired, I'll take a 30 mins nap. Hard for a lot of people, but really works for me.

If taking a nap is trashy, I am a dump.

Naps are one of the few times left that it’s ok for 2 guys to lay close to each other and just enjoy being in each other’s presence.

Have any of you taken an unexpected nap in the evening, and wake up right around now (7:45ish) and think for a bit that it was morning and you were running late?

First, we need to define what a ‘nap’ is.

Because apparently my ol lady’s definition doesn’t align with mine that it stops being a nap past, at the MOST, two hours. It’s a ‘sleep’ at that point.

I'd say yes the setting changes my opinion.

This may be coincidental, but almost everyone I know that is a frequent napper on random days at home is late to everything and at times unreliable.
