the wife has been summoned for jury duty next week and is trying to get out of it. Any suggestions?
I'm coaching track at the moment and she is responsible for before and after school drop off/ pick up of both kids as well as her full time job (she makes double my salary). Any chance she gets out of it?

Tell them you’re drunk. Or actually be drunk.

Your wife should take more pride in doing her civic duty.

What a bunch of cucks. If anything you could be selfish and realize a wife with double your salary rather than like half of it is more money for you. At best they could actually be happy for their SO.

In college when I had jury duty in BR the judge made it known that if he felt anyone was intentionally trying to get out of it they would be held in contempt.

It's only a week, just make other arrangements and suck it up

For that, no.

It's really a small inconvenience in the grand scheme of getting to live under the American system of governance. For it to work people have to participate.

Suck it up and do your civic duty. Seriously.

She can kick the can down the road and reschedule to another date, but where I live, they will put out a warrant for you if you don’t show up.

I love how you have to read through all the bull to get to a few legit answers......

and I'm driving a New Tundra and pulling a year old Bass Cat to the lake every weekend so she can keep making twice my salary as far as I'm concerned

I should also add that she's self employed and doesn't get paid when she doesn't work...

I just did a week of jury duty and the judge made a similar statement to that effect early on. Nobody called his bluff.
