How does Pandora make money? Does anyone pay for their no commercial experience?

They keep advertising the switch to a subscription and get uninterrupted music and customize songs. Why would anyone do that? Igor on right now whole doing yardwork and they only interrupt with a :45 sec commercial about every 4-6 songs.

Anyone pay, if so why?

I did for a while but then they put in shitty re-recordings of my favorite songs and I gave up.

Advertisers must be paying through the nose because I get a ton of free content. Don’t forget they also have to pay royalty to publishers of the music.

I did the middle membership for a couple months to play songs will not connected to wifi while traveling on my tablet. Canceled though. Ads on pandora don't bother me much

The only way you don't know the answer to your question is if you assume they do this for free.

That's more a reflection on your inability to design a station than them.

You literally have the answer to your own question, not just in the OP, but in your thread title.

I'm still baffled when I see people use Pandora and not Spotify. It's so much better.

Yep

Had either Spotify premium or family for over three years now, and I wouldnt trade it for anything. Spotify gets 99.9% of artists I want to listen to. I honestly think the only artist I want to listen to thats not on Spotify is Jack Ingram, and I have no clue why he's not there.

Listened to over 28,000 minutes on Spotify last year, and it was all songs I wanted to hear, and not some station hopefully playing songs I want.
