How do you view transgender people? With pity or disgust?

I find myself making harsh comments towards the whole issue online/social media and then I actually come across real life transgender people in my online interactions and kind of feel bad for my comments. These people are so broken. I really feel sorry for them. I’m torn . Society promoting this as normal is dangerous but scorning it makes these people feel defective which they are. They really need help.

I think they are mentally ill but I'm a live and let live guy. I don't think they should expect society to make concessions to .02% of the population or whatever they are.

Same as I do any other mentally ill person or those that go to cosplay conventions

Indifference.
Whatever floats your boat I guess.

I feel sorry for them. They have brain defects that can’t currently be changed. Their lives must be hell. I hope research finds a way to match their brains with their bodies. That would be so much better than having to change their bodies to match their brains.

I don't care what any other human does with their life/body/sexuality as long as they don't try and push their views on me.

Same. The only time it bothers me is when it’s a child and the parents are actively encouraging being trans (vs being passive if a kid goes through some “dress up” phase).
Well, the sports thing bothers me, too.

Like I do everyone else. It’s not my place to judge. I don’t presume to know anything about it.

They have a mental illness. I hope they get help.

They're pretty much more heroic than any Medal of Honor recipient

I used to not give a single frick about em. But now, they are trying to make society conform around them and change long established rules (ie the sports thing). So now it just irritates the hell out of me.
Also, having a 4 yr old and 6 yr old, I am not really ready to raise them in a world where that kind of thing is the norm.

That, and when grown men use it as an excuse to gain access to women’s restrooms. Especially when there are little girls present.

Blatant cheating. I don’t know how anyone with any semblance of honor could accept a trophy when they are genetically engineered to be faster and twice as strong as the competition.
