I view them as confused attention whores.

As a person doing what they want.

I find myself making harsh comments towards the whole issue online/social media and then I actually come across real life transgender people in my online interactions and kind of feel bad for my comments. These people are so broken. I really feel sorry for them. I’m torn . Society promoting this as normal is dangerous but scorning it makes these people feel defective which they are. They really need help.
Couldn't agree more. It's a mental illness which should be treated. Unfortunately, with the media promoting it like it is now, it's only going to get worse.

Where does it start and stop? There are thousands if not millions of gay and bi people in this world, you also consider that also as a mental illness and should they have any less rights than you?
And all of you who are saying you wouldn’t associate with people like this, I hope you do not have children because you never know what your children will do and if you abandon your child because of who they love, you’re a shitty human.

Bathrooms, sports, pronouns, forcing people to pretend they are something they aren't.
I'm fine with them doing their thing. Am I OK with a guy in a sports bra dominanting women's track and field? No.
Am I OK with a 6' 200 lb dude in a dress being in the bathroom with my 12 year old daughter? No.

Doesn’t make it acceptable to not respect their feelings or how they perceive themselves.
And the same was once said about race. People were “forced” to conform in allowing black people to have civil rights.

And that’s your feelings and you think your feelings should be respected?
Them too.

Black people didn't choose their skin color
Let's just disrupt the fabric of society over a few people that have mental issues?
No, I'm not ok with 99.95% of the population having to make concessions for these people.

Gay, bi and trans also say that about their sexuality.
Did you choose yours?
And why does it matter the %?
Their feelings are their feelings and should be respected. Just because you don’t agree with it doesn’t make them not feel that way.
And I realize I’m not going to change options here so I’ll stop. I just hope it’s opens some of y’all up to a little compassions for others.

If I feel like a cheetah it doesn't make me one. This is opening Pandora's Box when we start legitimizing this shite

You know why you don't play poker in the jungle?
Because there are too many cheetahs.

I can handle a dissenting opinion. I won't think any different of you unless you are just purposely being an a-hole
I've been considering identifying as a 65 year old though and applying for social security at 41.
