How do you lose a couch?

Ordered a sofa for my office from West Elm 3 months ago. Originally scheduled for delivery on 2/24, but postponed (by them) twice. Was supposed to come today, but the couch wasn't on the truck. I call the 800 number and after putting me on hold for 20 minutes, they tell me that the couch was not loaded onto the truck and they have no idea where it is. They literally lost a couch.

Ask them who in their delivery group has retired or was fired recently.

The delivery service Home Depot was using (they fired them and we were lucky enough to be one of their last deliveries) showed up to our house without the fricking washing machine we bought in the truck

Years ago we ordered a chest of drawers from rooms to go - it took 3 deliveries to get us one that was not broken
At the first delivery the guy came to the door to inform me it was broken - they weren’t even taking it off the truck - the same thing happened the second time - it was weird

West Elm usually has pretty awesome CS in my experience (as do all of those affiliated brands) but they can't control the couriers or make inventory any faster than they are
