Need to bring it up early, and just be honest about it.
Say that you plan for and hope that you're together for a lifetime, but if something unexpected happens then you want to be sure both parties are protected.
Approach it from that angle and work out a fair deal. It doesn't have to be you get 100% and she gets 0%.

Exactly. Generally, what I have always done is bring up pre-nup and not wanting kids usually in first couple weeks of a relationship. Its best that everyone is understanding what we are both thinking.

Giving a bunch of money to someone like boosie so we can go our own ways is worse imo

Have the priest bring it up in Pre-Cana.

You just have to rip that band aid off man.
I mean what does it matter if she flips out on you and calls it off if she doesn't want to sign a prenup?
If you plan on marrying her whether she signs it or not then why ask?

2019 marriages are in for a world of hurt.
Why is this even a question for someone marrying for Biblical love?
Oh wait...

I get it, but tell that to a female looking to be married forever in pure happiness

Unless it changed, in Louisiana you can file a separation of property and doesn’t require consent (or knowledge, actually).
This is not correct.

Nut up and tell her you want a prenup.

This was for assets before marriage and not community.

We are talking about pre-nups that negate the community property regime. Assets owned by a spouse before marriage remain the separate property of that spouse. You are talking about the reservation of fruits (income, interest, etc.) from separate property as separate property even though a community property regime exists. 2 different things. Trust me.

Here's a novel idea. Just don't get married. Problem avoided

Get a trust to protect your assets, since a trust is unbreakable in court.

We had sort of talked about it a little before engagement but when it came time I just made it clear it was either to be signed or marriage wasn’t happening
She didn’t make a big deal out of it at all, not sure how I got it done so easy tbh
Jody must have a ton of money I guess

Prenups only cover assets from before the marriage, correct?

And even then, a good lawyer will get into the earned money DURING the marriage. Even with the prenup. A prenup is a good idea for a rich person marrying a poor person, but I assure you, it's not fool proof.
