How do you combat the mosquito buzzing your head at night in bed?

I'm sure it's trashy, but I'll go on. You're awakened during the night by a mosquito buzzing around your head. It starts with the faint, distant buzz, then the sound grows to a buzz/roar.

I usually start slapping myself in the head and face in an effort to kill the mosquito, but it never happens. Every time I strike myself, the buzzing returns within seconds. I've even tried getting up and turning on the light to try to find the mosquito. It's literally never there. My sleep never returns until the mosquito loses interest, or, by some miracle, slapping at it actually kills it (I've never had a confirmed kill).

Is there a surefire way to end this without losing significant sleep that any of you have found?

Not sleeping under a bridge would probably help

It's December, I think that mosquito only exists in your head.

Bug O Salt gun is your only answer

Wait for said fly to land on your boyfriends face then blast away.

It’s worse in December for me than in the summer. You can’t see it when it’s flying. Only when it’s still on a wall. I usually cave and sleep in another room and then see it on the wall in the morning when I go back in my room. frick those things.

Yes. Get a bucket and fill with water. Push a full sized beach towel into the bucket and let it get fully soaked. When the offending skeeter appears, grab the soaked beach towel and sling it around. The water and towel will probably get him.

What if we don't have a beach towel and water? Would a regular towel and milk work?

Open iPhone, turn the brightness up, then once it flies to the screen kill said mosquito.

Only logical answer is to just burn the house down. Even then there’s a chance you won’t get it.

Negative. With a regular towel you must use either lemon juice or bleach.

get this and set it in your hallway or living room or some shite. the mosquitoes will be attracted to the light and then the vacuum will trap them in the compartment below. then you can just let them die out or torture them by pouring bleach on them after they are caught.
