Our miniature golden doodle’s name is Kanter, named after my son’s heart surgeon, Dr. Kirk Kanter. The dog’s full name is Kanter Berry Tails. Berry is our last name. My kids hate the full name, but I thought it was pretty clever.

She is named Charley for Charlie Watts - before he passed. No song name appealed to me so there you go.

When I was a kid my mom got a chihuahua she wanted to name 'Jellybean' for some reason but I convinced her to name him 'Beaner' because it sort of sounded like boner and my 10 year old self thought it was hilarious. I had no idea it was a slur for Mexicans at the time and apparently she didn't either. No one ever said anything to her directly but we lived in California and I'm 100% sure there's a few Mexicans somewhere that still remember that racist white lady who named her chihuahua Beaner.

We just picked a name that sounded good for a girl dog and that was it. Not much thought into and no desire to change it

Son named our golden Bandit because he loved Smokey and the Bandit.
